Sam Goddard

Co-Director

Sam's background is as a Forest School practitioner, trainer, speaker and consultant specialising in quality, accredited development work. He says his entire career has been an extension of playing in the countryside near his childhood home. Since taking the reins at Cambium Sustainable in 2018, Sam's mission has been to connect all children with the natural world around them and give them the opportunity to thrive in this environment, developing the skills and knowledge necessary for a positive life. He loves ideas and new ways of looking at problems and is committed to moving Forest School forward in new and exciting ways. Sam believes that every child and young person has the right to quality outdoor experiences and works hard to make this a reality. He can often be found in the woods or at the river with his Granddaughter who he cares for and he loves long walks in the bracing Autumn air.

Holli has put her talent for creative problem-solving to good use managing a variety of voluntary sector projects over the last 25 years. These include an integrated youth circus (she is a whizz with a hula hoop) and Swansea's Forest School charity (where she learnt to not get lost in the woods). She is happy to currently be using those skills to direct Cambium towards a bright and sustainable future.

She joined Cambium Sustainable later in 2016 as a FS trainer and also supported the business with FS delivery at local schools and becoming the quality assurance officer, which is now her main role.

In her free time she supports Welsh rugby with a passion and loves to look after her granddaughter and do gardening, cooking and baking whenever she can.

Sue Purcell - Cambium Sustainable Administration Assistant

Sue Purcell

Administration Assistant

sue@cambiumsustainable.co.uk

Sue has been working for Cambium for over ten years, starting with just two members of staff and two trainers in a small spare room in Anney’s house, to the busy office in Talgarth and the extensive network of trainers Cambium has become today.

Working quietly behind the scenes and keeping the mundane (but essential!) workings of the business running smoothly. Sue's real focus in life is her Christian faith which she considers to be her career and lifestyle, spending her time in sharing it with those who want to listen.

Sue regularly gets involved in voluntary work helping to maintain the extensive grounds of an educational centre on the outskirts of Bristol, enjoying the beauty of the natural world which she is privileged to live in.
