Course Summary:
This is a brand-new Level 3 qualification linked to outdoor learning and sustainability requirements in both Wales and England. The course covers auditing, policy development, and implementation of Nature-Based and Sustainability education across a whole setting.
It will empower you to coordinate the sustainability practices of your setting and integrate Outdoor Learning approaches across your school or MAT.
This comprehensive journey includes:
Understanding Sustainability in Educational Settings: Including auditing your current practice, developing your Climate Action Plan and getting everyone on board.
Evaluating Current Practices: Assess your existing Outdoor Learning provision and create robust procedures and best practice guidelines to integrate outdoor experiences into the entire strategy of your setting.
Sustainable Site Management: Learn to plan and sustainably manage your own grounds, turning them into vibrant spaces for learning.
Year-Round Programming: Develop engaging Outdoor Learning programmes that captivate your groups throughout the seasons.
You will complete a portfolio of evidence demonstrating your learning and application, with a completion window of nine months from the start date.

Entry Requirements:
Level 2 qualification or appropriate experience in education, youth work, childcare etc.
Established link with a group and experience working with groups outdoors.
18 years or over.
First Aid Qualification and DBS strongly advised.
