LEVEL 3 Challenging Behaviour Outdoors

Course Content Summary:

This 4 day course is aimed at those who have extensive experience in delivering outdoor learning or those who hold a L3 Forest School qualification.

Useful for youth workers, PRU staff, secondary and primary school staff, especially those working with special educational needs or transitional children.

This course looks at solution focused positive behaviour management in the outdoors, supporting learning of those with mental health issues or disorders and leading an outdoor activity programme. Entry requirements apply to this programme.

This programme is worth ten credits and you will need to complete a portfolio of evidence for the following units:

  • Positive approaches to understanding and reducing behaviours that challenge

  • Supporting the learning of children and young people who have mental health issues or disorders

  • Outdoor Activity Leader.

Entry Qualifications Required:

Extensive experience in delivering outdoor learning or or hold a minimum Level 2 qualification or a L3 Forest School qualification

19 years or over at the start of the course

First Aid Qualification advised.
