Cambium Privacy Policy

Cambium Sustainable as an organisation is totally committed to protecting the privacy of our students and visitors to our website.

We maintain various physical , electronic and procedural safeguards to protect personal information in our care.  We will be the data controllers for the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) that came into effect from May 2018.

We are committed to safeguarding and protecting personal information and will implement and maintain appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure a level of security appropriate to protect any personal information provided to us.

We do not store any details of credit cards or other financial methods of payment used to pay for courses.

We will not disclose information about our customers to other organisations except where it is a necessary part of providing the service that you have contracted to gain from us. Eg. Sharing student registration information with Agored Cymru

We do not and will not sell, rent out or trade your personal information.

We will not disclose your personal information without your consent unless we  reasonably believe that disclosure is necessary to lessen or prevent a threat to life, health or safety of an individual or to public health or safety or for certain action to be undertaken by an enforcement body or where such disclosure is authorised or required by law.

When you enrol with Cambium Sustainable and the training organisation that is part of the Cambium Trainers Network, you are giving consent to be contacted by them personally or the organisation that they represent, Cambium and our sister business Outdoor Learning Resources.

Your data will be retained from the time that you complete the application form and then for 24 months from the start date of your training course but unless you have enrolled on further training during that time, your information will be destroyed at the expiration of 24 months from the start date of your training course. Any personal or medical information given for the purpose of the health and safety of yourself or others during the training course contact days will be destroyed after the training course contact days are completed.

By providing information on the enrolment / registration or application form you have ‘opted in’ and are consenting to receiving communication from us about the training course you have enrolled on as well as occasional information on other training, products and special offers which we think may be of interest to you.

If at any point during the time that we store your information you would like us to remove your information from our data bases, please inform us of your wish and your details will be deleted / destroyed as appropriate.  If you choose to do this, our services to you may be negatively impacted.

Our websites collect aggregate, anonymous statistics about the number of visitors and the type of purchases made on the site.  Our websites also use cookies – these are information files that are stored on your hard drive.  You can change the settings on your browser to prevent cookies being stored on your computer without your explicit consent.
