INSET and CPD

Using the outdoor environment has been recently recognised as vitally important for children's health and well being as well as being a wonderfully innovative and engaging way to deliver the curriculum.

Our INSET courses can be tailored to your schools specific needs and offers a very effective and competitively priced way of informing and enthusing all staff members. We hope to help your staff to see the benefits of using the outdoors and gain practical skills in all aspects of using your local outdoor environment as part of your whole school teaching and learning strategy.

INSET day or half day sessions can be delivered on the following topics:-

Forest School– an introductory session giving an overview of the ethos and practice of Forest School

Gardening in School– Learning about how to develop / continue growing a range of horticultural enterprises in school

Developing grounds for adventurous play– forming a plan for grounds development that enables adventurous play (especially suited for early years)

Sustainable school grounds– linking aspects of the curriculum to sustainable enterprises in the school grounds, looking at how to make use of your grounds an integral part of the school ethos

We can design bespoke INSET sessions around your training needs so please let us know what topics you would like covered

 

INSET day charges:-

Full day (up to 10 participants)   £ 400 + travel costs

Full day (over 10 participants)     £ 550 + travel costs

Half day (up to 10 participants) £ 250 + travel costs

Half day (over 10 participants)    £ 350 + travel costs

Continuing Professional Development Courses

We also now offer one day courses in a variety of practical topics to help Practitioners update and enhance their existing practice. Should you have any specific training requests please do not hesiate to contact us as we would be happy to suggest possible avenues for progression.
