Forest School is a unique, educational approach to learning and play which gives opportunity for individuals to build their confidence and capacity for learning through regular visits to a woodland setting.



More about Forest School

Forest Schools’ success in enabling development of ‘softer skills’ such as communication, empathy, self control, motivation, independence and a positive mental attitude comes through learning ‘harder skills’ such as self management in all weathers, team work, small hand tool use, fire lighting and learning how to use the woodland resources appropriately and sustainably.

Forest School sessions are always conducted over a prolonged period in the same setting with a trained Forest School Practitioner which leads to participants being able to be viewed as individual learners and to progress at a rate suitable for them alone.
